Become a Peaks Rider

The Peaks program offers therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with special needs age 3 and up. The rider application can be downloaded below and includes a physician’s release which must be signed by a physician prior to the rider’s participation in the program and must be updated annually.

• Private Lessons: private lessons feature one on one attention from the instructor and are either 30 minutes for $35.00 or 1 hour for $50.00.

• Group Lessons: Riders in group lessons are combined according to skill level, age, and rider needs. Group lessons are $32/ per person for a one hour lesson and consist of no more than 4 riders.

• Payment is accepted in form of Check, Cash, and Credit Card

Cancelation Policy:

• Riders unable to attend a scheduled lesson must notify PEAKS staff as far in advance as possible. There will be no refunds for missed lessons instead make-up lessons will be scheduled at the end of every session..

Scholarships:

The Peaks is committed to providing lessons which are affordable to our riders and their families. With that in mind the current cost of lessons is less than 1/3 of the actual cost of the lesson, the remaining 2/3 consist of revenue from fundraising and donations. At the Peaks we never want lessons to be cost prohibitive for our participants. Thanks to the support of the community, scholarships are also available.
